I think the fact that @1sharetrader1 states "in ground value" then he is differentiating it from the value that may be placed on reserves. Value being an estimate of monetary worth is reasonable to use in this case.
When we start talking about the value of ASN, i.e DCF etc then the value refers to those mineral reserves in the market place.
To me there is no harm is quoting an in ground value as it does provide some perspective of the potential revenue value as future reserves after accounting for a conversion/recovery %
