Big Flat (No 2 and Unit 2) was drilled by King Oil and Pure Oil (I think) and currently sits on Voltaic (now Pan American) claims (as an FYI, Pan American is looking to recommence activity across their claims). ASN managed to get historical geophysical logs (and core cutting samples) that were used to estimate porosity. Li levels at Big Flat were recorded at 81ppm (as per mbc’s post) & 173ppm. The deeper Leadville formation looks pretty thick over on the west. Historical drill results for Mineral Canyon have indicated high pressure with high porosity. From what ASN has announced, they believe the western area contains similarity to Roberts Rupture which is identifiable in the east. Remember Roberts Rupture is thought to provide natural fracturing which assists brine flow without the need for pumping.

In my opinion, if the drill results come back promising I would expect to see the west have its own processing facility. The DFS has the planned production site further east towards the Colorado river. It would be a long way to connect the west with the east. The logistics of it would involve further permits with SITLA and ROW use agreements with existing operators, as well as appropriate pipeline sizing on the east that can manage the volume and pressure coming from the west.
