Can't agree with you on this point. It was only true in the beginning based mainly on stories about Toyota hybrid packs, which managed 500,000 kms in taxi's. We now pull out these packs check the individual cells and normally find it just one or two bad cells that can be swapped out from a used spare battery pack. Price is cheap in this regard.

On top of this newest EV's have battery packs that will outlast the value of the car, No one will want a 10 year old EV like no one wants a 10 year old iPhone.
