Just been reading the ACDC (ADC) prospectus this morning because they are due to float today with a number of nearology projects around the Murray Basin and a MOU to help develop Medallions monazite process in Australia. I wouldn't touch ADC, can't see any value drivers without some remarkable exploration success given the leftovers they pegged and ridiculously large deposits in the area all sitting undeveloped to date. At least the Medallion process flowchart spells out the U-Th issue faced by all monazite processors.
Moving the monazite con is onerous and more expensive, but very doable so long as shipping containers to port/ship is available. Radiation levels for NORM like monazite is not particularly high when appropriately packed to meet guidelines for safe transport. It's finding a country willing to accept the long-term radiation waste left over from extracting the valuable RE goodies from monazite is the problem (as Lynas found out). To really make our Murray basin deposits a winner, approval and funding for Victorian or Sth Australian U-Th radioactive waste storage is critical or we will remain a dig and deliver cheap con to China for ever. Unfortunately, that's where VHM, ATR, Wim Resources will be developed as and stay as imo...
