Bear in mind the language.... "a welcome additional outcome..." - I think what we have is the additional outcome, which should have been the icing on the cake - but we don't actually have the cake yet!
Obviously they would be pushing their own proprietary products above all else, and this I think is the main aim of the game, but this first small deal is a good sign.
Sigma-Aldrich is one of the major players in the gold nanoparticles market... and who's that other major player in that market again? Yes, BBI Solutions.
Still, nothing is guaranteed, but the signs are good and without taking risk, you can't get exposure to the reward. Lets hope success with either, spurs on the other.
