Settle down, that's not what I was suggesting at all.

Some have implied that we don't want JM to get disillusioned, and leave Anteo, and that's true.
I was pointing out that while JM could leave if he wanted to, he would be severely restricted what he can do with his knowledge in the areas where Anteo owns the patents. It's his life's work, so why would he do that?

Anteo would most definitely NOT be better off with subordinate, and this highlight a massive risk to the organization, if the the single source of knowledge, on which it's business is based, resides with only one key person.

IMO, it's not similar to AS situation, it's completely different.
