Did some more digging and found this interesting tidbit - just after Anteo/Sona deal was sealed it looks like Chembio Diagnostics did a M&A, and took a controlling hand in opTricon - though it's currently run as an independent subsidiary. At the same time they & AstraZeneca got CE Mark multiplex test for Zika, dengue and chikungunya viruses for their DPP system. But Chembio now get another POC platform with the opTricon cube. I'm thinking a field Zika, dengue and chikungunya POC test would be handy for troops in the tropics, or WHO flood relief / refugee aid camps. They also secured a JV with Perseus to commercialise their traumatic brain injury (TBI) A&E test. A field POC for paramedics & troop triage woild be good development too. You have to ask where did they get the funds to expand like this - apparently LumiraDx. Who is behind LumiraDx? Very deeeeeeeeep and very private pockets, their 10K just says "Undisclosed" investors.
