Whether you like it no, revenue is important and will underpin a company SP if it meets market expectations.
For example ADO. Back in 2011 through to 2014 ADO was promoted and hyped to buggery on the basis of its IP and up to 100 companies around the world being interested and testing M&G. There were blogs and posters who were getting 50 or more thumbs up on their posts. ADO was the most talked about stock on HC. There were huge deals imminent with Phillips and BBI plus other undisclosed companies due to confidentiality clauses. (Not much different to what we see happening on here currently) Social media was so powerful that the SP rose very quickly on unsubstantiated hype going from around the 6 cent mark to 28 cents.
The deals never eventuated thus nil revenue so the SP fell over a period of time and in accordandance with the failed DiaSource takeover.
DiaSource was to be the saviour by providing existing revenue.
That failed also, resulting in nil revenue and ADO teetering on the verge of insolvency.

Yes you can make money out of speculative shares without revenue as per the ADO example but it's all about timing and knowing when to take a profit. Quite a few who still post on here purchased at the highs, rode it down to its all time lows and as a result have had dead capital tied up for many years. The ones who traded it IMO made the right decisions.
Please don't think that the above scenario can't be repeated because it can.
That is why revenue is so important and underpins value.
