This is from the HOA announcement with Merck:

"This signing comes after 2 days of talks between AnteoTech’s CEO Derek Thomson, Head of Life Sciences Charlie Huang and Merck at their product development and manufacturing centre in Lyon, France. Here it was agreed that the complimentary elements of both parties
combined into a single product creates a unique commercial opportunity that should be leveraged as a priority."

It all sounds pretty spontaneous/opportunistic to me, after our viral/Covid-19 specialist Charlie Huang spent 2 days at the Merck product development and manufacturing centre. The timeline would look like this:

7th March - Charlie spends 2 days with Merck
9th March - ADO head of agreement with Merck for a unique commercial opportunity "harnessing Merck's full range of Europium particles activated with AnteoBind"
Late March - "Covid-19 development program was instigated" using AnteoBind activated Europium
10th June - Covid-19/virus related page appeared on ADO's website
17th June - Charlie and Merck hosts a webinar
14th July - ADO goes into TH

The words "unique commercial opportunity" seems to be a common theme when we talk about Merck and Covid-19.... From the announcement today:

"AnteoTech has showcased the test to several global medical device suppliers and is actively seeking further partnerships to extend its activities in these exciting fields. Discussions with these companies are continuing. AnteoTech will announce any partnership developments as they occur."

"All the company including myself are immensely proud to have made the decision to develop this test as we believe our competency and product is unique and can make a substantial difference in the global fight against the COVID-19 virus"

They’ve made a decision to ‘develop a test’ and are proud of the decision. If the test worked they would have said, ‘the test works’. I’m immensely proud of my decision to develop my slam dunk but it doesn’t mean I can slam dunk.
