The below link is to a webinar mid last year from Trinseo explaining who they are, what they do and how their binder works in the battery space.

One of the presenters is the head of R&D at Trinseo and is also on the Anteo Advisory Board along with two of the battery business managers. It goes for around 40min but worth a watch if you are on a plane, waiting to pick up kids or have nothing better to do and you want to learn a little about how polymers/binders work and the role Trinseo have in the battery eco system. They look like a very solid partner to grow with.

They appear to have a global reach Europe, US and Asia all well covered. They have various binder technologies and are aiming to be one of the big suppliers in the battery space. They also look like they run a very collaborative approach to developing new cutting edge solutions so dovetails well with what Anteo can assist with.
There is plenty out there on who they supply etc in the automotive sector with plastics and the close ties and contacts to these same companies will very likely relate to future EV plans.

The other very cool thing about a company like Trinseo is this may also eventually (longterm) lead to working on other future uses for binder chemistries not yet considered or still being researched by the Anteo team.

Yesterdays webinar was the first time ever we have seen any meaningful timelines or KPI from management. They have set the goals and ambitions publicly to be judged against. The company structure is also beginning to look a lot like a commercially viable business, plans in place, people in roles that suit their skill sets and 4 high growth near term potential income streams.

The CEO was very upbeat about “watch this space” “more to come” in the battery space. I know that’s his role to be the frontman and push the message, but having talked to the new chairman he seems very conservative and doubt they would make these claims without a high degree of confidence built into the statements.

    Exciting times.
