Just a reminder that Anteotech are contributing $500k over 4 years plus their expertise to the Future Battery Industries Cooperative Research Centre bringing together almost 60 industry participants, eight universities, the CSIRO, and Federal and State Governments, its looking like success and $$$$ are near for Anteotech , “watch this space” a $119 million grant is peanuts for the significant increase in battery performance Anteotech offers.

AnteoTech Joins $130M Future Battery Industries CRC Highlights

❖AnteoTech signs participation agreement for the Future Battery IndustriesCRCSuper Anode Project
❖AnteoTech to be the sole supplier of silicon composite material to the Super Anode Project
❖AnteoTech to retain all of its Intellectual Property (IP) right sand gain share in Project IP AnteoTech Ltd (ASX: ADO) (“AnteoTech” or “the Company”is pleased to advise that it has executed a Project Participation Agreement with the Future Battery Industries CRC (FBICRC), for collaboration in “The Super Anode Project”.

The Super Anode Project is a four-year project with the aim of developing the materials, processes and cell-level technology to kick-start Australia’s battery industry and complement the FBICRCs cathode precursor refinement and material development project.

The Super Anode Project will deliver on two equally funded project areas.

(1)The development of flake graphite production in Australiaby adding value to Australia’s natural graphite reserves by creating “step change” improvements in processing and ensuring Australian natural graphite meets the high standards of global battery manufacturers.

(2)Secondly, the development of high-capacity silicon-containing anodes that meet future national and global capacity requirements by designing silicon composite materials and integrating them with Australian natural graphite.

AnteoTech is one of nine research participants in the Super Anode Projectand was selected as the exclusive contributor of silicon composite materials for refinement within the Super Anode Project. AnteoTech will contribute through in-kind contributions and a projected cash contribution of $500,000 over the four years.

Participation in the Super Anode Project will provide AnteoTech with the opportunity to accelerate and refine the development of its silicon composite material within the work program by leveraging access to additional highly skilled researchers with sophisticated test and processing equipment at leading Australian Universities and Institutes.

The Project work program will cover the structural refinement of AnteoTech’s silicon composite material to achieve superior performance as well as roll-to-roll processing trials and the fabrication of large format pouch cells using high energy cathode materials that are also being developed with in one of the FBI-CRC’s programs.

Commenting on the Super Anode Project, AnteoTech’s Head of Energy, Manuel Wieser, said: “Participation in the Super Anode Project provides our Energy team with a great opportunity to collaborate with key Australian industry partners in the development of silicon active material. We have already demonstrated solid results with our in-house testing of half cell batteries.

This Project will take our work to the next level providing scale-up, demonstration and validation opportunities for the silicon composite development work being undertaken by AnteoTech while creating a marketable product and expanding AnteoTech’s IP portfolio.”

Under the Project Agreement, AnteoTech will retain all rights to its IP provided to the Project in relation to the provision of the silicon composite material. As a project participant, AnteoTech is entitled to a share of the Project IP, based on a percentage of contribution to the project.

    About Future Battery Industries CRC
The Future Battery Industries Cooperative Research Centre brings together almost 60 industry participants, eight universities, the CSIRO, and Federal and State Governments. Through a six-year research and development program it will target all segments of the battery value chain and deliver commercial, proprietary outcomes to accelerate industry expansion and grow a vibrant, emerging battery industry sector.

With about $130 million cash and in-kind contributions, the FBICRC will position Australia as a leader in battery industries and create a new generation of highly skilled workers equipped to deliver the energy materials, systems and accreditation processes of the future.
