Nothing sinister in the above- it is just that with APM the result could be outsized because of the sheer size of intangibles/good will on the books. For example, but not only, a revaluation could wipe out NPAT for the period. Mr Market may not like that.

Just one last point. I do not think that vultures buzz around 'in glee'. Vultures seek carrion because that is how they eat. It is a matter of business for them and nothing personal. They would not do it 'in glee' because it is not entertainment for them but the serious business of surviving.
