I cannot see why European economic conditions should affect DBCT sale price, but yes it is grim in Europe.
They need to batten down the hatches on their European assets and simply try and hang on into the medium/long term and hope the economic cycle comes right again and the value gets restored.
What I found surprising today is that both the BBi and BEPPA share prices hardly blinked. It is probably fair to say these sorts of numbers were priced in already. It does make you think some sort of reorganisation is in the offing once DBCT is sold, as melua is alluding to.
