The statements are the type of wishy washy words eventually that caused me to bail out of AAU. They are all about what might happen, but it almost never does. The words are framed to give shareholders hope: '...they recognise the growth potential...'. That potential is high risk for a range of reasons, including sanctions, trade issues, mine development capability, finding efficient ore processing methods and concentrate buyers willng to pay enough. '..sourcing alternative financing options...' probably means they don't have a realistic one right now.
There's also the dilution that results from slow progress. In the end I think it is a bridge too far.
The best hope I think retail shareholders have, as others have indicated, is that the substantial shareholders who are increasing their share holdings have inside knowledge or something up their sleeve. But it also could be that they are financiers who are used to the lower level of risk of mining in other jurisdictions and don't fully appreciate the difficulties they will encounter in Cuba, with the type of ore at LD and the net profitability of mining a smallish deposit like NS.
I hung on for a long time, longer than I should have because of both the fear of missing out and the losses I had to take by selling. So I can see why it is so hard (I'll be kicking myself if AAU suddenly comes good) for others to let go. Good luck to everyone that is still here.
