It could make sense to privatise once enough funding is secured to get to the point where La Demajagua will be generating an income. Then there may be no need to seek capital raises from retail investors. It would eliminate the costs of all the public comms, reporting and admin that needs to be done under ASX rules and allow the company to focus on exploration and production from multiple mines. Less overhead and more profit. The negative chatter (I feel guilty of some of it) probably hasn't helped the share price either.
