Very basic - Volume traded, up days on high volume good. down days on light volume good. Heavy volume on no price movement also very good. Massive volume is what we are waiting for in AAU (Tens of millions per day). (Check out a chart on AZY for a recent example - particularly the volume and price movement). Most broker sites have reasonable charts that show this basic info.
