Looking at this announcement again the 50km circle around minyari makes me think they are more certain about a mine and processing plant at minyari. This could mean they’ve had some good news recently on deep results.
Maybe newcrest did not want to fund stuff hear for that reason as they need to prioritise feeding telfer and with processing plant at minyari it wouldn’t go to telfer.
