ANZ's cash profit was 2.98b; consensus was 3.1b
WBC's cash profit was 3.54b; consensus was 3.44b
ANZ's was more than expected but WBC's was less than expected.
So WBC's made 100m more than what it was expected to make; whilst ANZ made 100m less than expected.
As share prices already trade to reflect what its expected to make. If beat - share price generally goes up & vice versa.
