From what I have read the rationale is that it helps them to flog myob software to their Small and Medium Sized business customers. That can be achieved with a business partnership with Myob, rather than acquiring the lemon (anything coming from private equity must be a lemon imo). With that logic, they could practically acquire any business under the sun, because SMEs will need something from them at some stage. The link and business proposition is spurious.
