I think ANZ have a very, very bright future. I think Smith has done a fantastic job with everything.... except, I think this capital raising is just too high and too much.
I had no sarcasm in my post at all.
$14.40 was low for a capital raising, but, perhaps, at that stage it was necessary? I'm not sure, and $4.7Bn seems like a lot... but, if it was necessary, fair enough. I can't comment too much on it though. I did not contend that it was too low to do a raising in my post.
ANZ, IMHO is a short-term and a long-term buy... even if they have raised too much capital, too soon, too expensively.
