This, to me, means despite the dividend cuts, ANZ reckons more capital is needed.
WBC is already issuing a new hybrid at 3.7-4% margin, so ANZ will have to pay 4% minimum.
I think the market will bottom when banks start suspending dividends on preferential shares. Until then, plenty of downside to short.
