Form 604 announcement today lodged by State Street increasing their holding to 6%: Notice of change of interests of substantial holder
Not sure why it only being announced now (last notice 27/2/2021). Perhaps change has to be 1.00% or more?
Like many I have been questioning the sell off of this stock past 12months. The transactions listed in this notice may go some way to explaining.
Many transactions are listed as 'Sale or Pair-off Sale'. A pair off is a method of offsetting differences in short and long positions. A pair off-trade is an illegal activity in many countries and is characterised as "market manipulation" by trade regulators. There are also multiple transactions listed as either Sale or Return of Securities under a securities loan.
I am ignorant on many aspects of how our market works and would welcome anyone's view or interpretation of this notice.
