May well be stupid, haven’t done enough research but love the concept of a coherent programme to move to renewables at remote locations with sensible firming capacity. Have bought as a consequence. Trouble with governmental actions around the green transition is that they are ideological to the extent they refuse to accept the obvious role that firming capacity based on fossil fuels needs to play for a decade or two. Pragmatism rules!

As a secondary thought, given the above, any company that builds transmission lines is onto a winner because in the absence of firming capacity (should governments not yield to pragmatism) about a zillion kilometres of transmission is going to be required for when the wind don’t blow and the sun don’t shine.
