In addition, I think WES is keeping an eye on lockdowns. If they are extended then they may be willing to make a better offer but only just.

If everything opens up, I suspect WES will realise that it missed out and will not make another offer - and that would mean that a counter offer from elsewhere is also unlikely. The fact that there have not been any other offers - and not one from Coles - does tend to point to no further offers.
