Who owns fiat currency? You don't even know the basics of money creation??
The central bank issues the currency, it's loaned out, every dollar is somebody's liability, it's a debt based system.
If you have $10,000 cash, somebody else owes $10,000 to the bank.
Do you trust central bankers and governments to be careful with this ultimate power ? (with inflation now around 10%)
If yes keep your money on deposit?
If no get gold and silver to protect yourself.
