I am wondering about the West’s neurotics turning their focus to gold. Already the G7 has started this process. I can well envisage that if Russia and others launch a largely gold-backed currency that the moronic ruling class of the West will unite in deciding that gold is “Putin money” and banning its trade. In which case the gold/silver ratio should collapse toward its long term average, even as the gold price potentially falls as Westerners are pogromed out of gold in a “goldnacht” event

This is just the pessimist in me telling you silver is the real safe haven
