These things take time. If we get the deal we want it will be with a large bureaucratic organisation. Any deal will have to go through several committees. It will take ages to go through the junior level before it even gets on the radar at a more senior level. You have to understand that there are hundreds of hopefuls peddling drugs, devices, etc. Most will go nowhere. At the senior level there will not be enough people on deck during July and August for any decision to be made. I was told many years ago by about the worst bureaucracy I ever dealt with that "If you want a quick decision, the answer is no." I have always found this to be true.
One issue that has not been mentioned is that the results from NIMA (mild asthma) have not been released. These should include the only biopsy data from the just completed Nadolol trials. The counter parties could easily be waiting for this data before making a decision. Invion could be holding back for this data in the belief that it will enhance any deal. We simply don't know. What I do know is that the management are well rewarded if they can engineer a satisfactory conclusion. Their interests are aligned with shareholders. We have no reason to believe other than that they are doing their best for shareholders and that they have a valuable property to monetise.
