I'm glad you said "tree huggers" and not "environmentalists". I consider myself one of the latter. I would unlikely have found this company were it not for the "green" metals it plans to mine.
If humanity cannot rapidly address our atmospheric pollution crisis, very few trees will be left for our descendants to hug.
