I listened to the earnings call just before and the competition question got raised as it should. Mark basically said, competitive landscape remain largely the same for Relevance and speech, i.e. they are not losing out to anyone materially. Image is the only area where there are newer startups that emerge as it is a lot easier to enter image space as it doesn't require the scale of capability/resources relative to relevance/speech. He also said that they learnt from their sales/marketing in 2020 that whilst price is an important factor in new customers they won, but the quality of the data is more important to the new customers. So that's a key advantage Appen will leverage even more in CY21 marketing to win new customers.
