On the topic of the Data Centre business and CDC (IFT owns 48%) - I've been browsing a bit of information and a good recent source (article link below) highlighted the following take-aways:
EBITDAF of CDC has been growing strongly, on March 31 year to date (three qtrs) she chalked up AUD $117.5 mill on the back of 45% growth for the previous comparable period.
Currently running 80 MW of DC storage.
Initiated a new 20 MW facility in NZ, scheduled for completion 2022.
Microsoft announced (on the same day as the NZ DC announcement) they are establishing a NZ Azure cloud region.
Initiated expansion in Australia of an additional 50MW storage.
So in a nutshell... 45% yr on yr earnings growth off a decent base, storage capacity on track to almost double within two years, Microsoft partnership looking solid, Govt contracts, increased cyber security threats placing increased value on using DCs with the highest security level....
If you're bullish on data, cloud and data centre exposure I strongly believe that IFT offers a great value entry with only a few genuine alternatives on the ASX.
