Phase two RC drilling at Middle Island Resources Ltd’s Ridge prospect has delivered a hit of 4m @ 99.5 g/t (including 1m @ 390 g/t [repeat assay 502 g/t]) at the Sandstone project in Western Australia. “Assay results derived from infill and extension RC drilling at the Ridge prospect are still incomplete and, as such, it is not yet possible to establish the full significance of this initial intersection in context,” the company said in a statement.About 9,000m of the Phase Two drilling programme has been completed and the feasibility study update is also progressing well.Meanwhile, oxide diamond coring of all new satellite deposits for bulk density, metallurgical and geotechnical purposes was planned to start in the first week of July. Additionally, a high resolution airborne magnetic survey and drone digital terrain model have been completed over M57/128, M57/129 and P57/1395 at Sandstone, with processing of the airborne magnetic and radiometric data finalised. Interpretation of that data was being done at the time of print, ahead of drill planning at the Shillington Gap exploration target. The company has also received an extension of the existing POW over M57/129 meaning additional drilling at the McClaren, McIntyre and Ridge satellite deposits, along with planned exploratory drilling of the Shillington Gap target is approved.
