(info just in case the leverage aspect is of options is of interest to you) for other (larger) companies that may not have any tradeable options a very similar "product" may exist called a "warrant". these trade on the asx in the same way that brkob does.
simplistically you can buy a share in a company on a "down-payment" and do the final payment at some future time. In the meantime you will often get the dividends and franking credits etc and they can be used to either pay the holder, or pay off some of the final balance that is still owing on the shares. google something like VIEW (vanilla instalment equity warrant).

@Pepe1 these options can be paid at any time to convert to a share (exercise) at any time up to the expiry date. be aware that some other options can only be exercised on the actual due date and not before.
