In respect of options if I buy options at say 5 c with a strike price of 20 c I would wait until the share price was above 25 c before converting the options to shares as this is the break even point less the brokerage consideration. Once the price of the share is over this price I can sell for a profit as I only pay 20 c for the actual share but need to add the price of the option and brokerage in to the equation. Options are a cheap way of picking up shares for those that like them. I tend to trade ETOs as opposed to company options.
