Continuous disclosure requires that you release materially sensitive information to the market as you as you are aware it. Yes, the issue of timely continuous disclosure is controversial but it serves no purpose because if it's bad news it eventually has to be disclosed. You can wonder all you like but I highly doubt there's anything vaguely sinister.
