Say never never. I'm certainly international and i'm hoping to get my shares from my loyalty options. Haven't got them yet and 2 month has passed but my brooker said they can get them through their custodian bank.
With so many intermediaries maybe it takes more time , hope they can fix it. The charge for the transaction will be higher but definitely worth it.
So my point is that it can be worth checking with you broker if you have the options on your account.
