I mixed up my recollections of phosphate rock with potash rock - sorry but not to worry the principles are the same. Namely make the stuff soluble.
I checked google and that flashed my memory of a large furnace where they treated the potash with sulphuric acid and heat to get a soluble product, SOP I guess. The process looks complicated and I do not pretend to know much about it.
Still nice though that our SOP will be pumped up and just need to be crystalized to separate it from by-products. All good I reckon.
I expect some good news soon to make sure all those oppies get exercised to swell the coffers.
