They're only performance rights. Nobody got any money (or has to pay any).
They have until 18 March 2017 to satisfy the performance requirements to have them converted to free shares...you'll find the criteria in the annual report.
On past performances, since I can remember...not a snowflakes chance in hell!
Perhaps shareholders should request a system whereby, if performance criteria are not met, not only do the PR's lapse, but management should be required to relinquish a % of free shares they've received in the past.
This scheme could be shareholders "non performance rights".
