Certainly an odd one. Is it a foolish share issue when a cash payment would have made more sense, or a convoluted way to try and telegraph something to the market, or simply a savvy sales employee who negotiated an option for share based payments/bonuses rather than cash realising that the company was undervalued and buying on the ASX from the US a bit convoluted?
Who knows.
