Absolutely no idea, my guess is maybe make it looks like theres more trades.
10 one share trades already 10 trades itself. Maybe that brings down avg value per trade? Make it looks popular to trigger inferior algo and lure them or whatever.
All algo is dif, theres tens or even millions of these trade programs. Who knows why any of that even matters, theres commission per trade so i dont really know why that is even beneficial.
Just my guess, im totally clueless, i just see them as entertainment. Maybe google can answer u
