Something like a clever under-the-radar way to compensate for the 78m performance shares which were always going to be cancelled because the $3m revenue target wasn't going to be hit, I'd imagine - first time I've ever seen this type of 'option' too but it's explained in the 23 Oct ann re the topic for the AGM. Three of the BoD get freebies in every sense of the word to the tune of 4,187,500 shares.
