The allocation of rights, shares, options etc is a complex area when it come to Directors and their boards.  Peter Turnbull (former director) in his CV cites this as one of his skills. If you read pages 8, 9 & 10 of last years  full year statutory accounts you will get some idea of the complexity and how the average shareholder has no chance of even starting to understand how it works. In regards to a question as to whether SS knew the result from ComputerShare. Yes he did. He knew 48hours before the meeting when ComputerShare handed over 320 proxy voting forms to MLM at their HQ office that he had been booted out.
