the difficulty is that if they use cash to buy shares to give to the doctors then they won’t have as much cash for debt repayment and dividends. You can’t have it all. Which is the priority here? I’d argue dividends should be cut further but they’d be loathed to do that given the markets reaction to further dividend cuts.
