A stable and loyal workforce is essential for a company to maximise the efficiency and value of its assets.
It's as shortsighted as saying "lets half everyone's pay because it is eroding shareholder value!". See where that gets you.....
Yes the share incentives are a "cost" to the company but so is recruitment and a "revolving door" style workforce. People that believe in the future of the company are exactly the type of people that I want working for a company I invest in.
