I am under the impression that the 210,000 options converted at $0.30 ($63,000) were majority owned (at least 132,884 of the 210,000 options) by Yaron Bar-Tal, General Manager of Israel who has been with Emefcy/Fluence since 2013. Some of them possibly also belonged to Ross Kennedy or some other long term Emefcy staff. Lior Zitershpiler had some but let them expire unconverted. Remember that most original Emefcy staff that had options available are based in Israel, so tying up personal money in the Australian stock exchange is not necessarily the easiest decision, which is why I am not surprised to see some of the "cheaper" $0.30 options expire unconverted.
I doubt Yaron would be selling if he converted options to shares (not so sure about Ross Kennedy). I believe the shares were also available on Monday the 30th of December during the Kaitian news rise. 210,000 options shares is inconsequential in the scheme of things anyway.
Note that anyone who bought shares from mid-December onwards ($0.37-$0.39) was making about 20% by selling on Thursday and Friday. There may have also been some who participated in the $0.44 CR and SPP that wanted out with a small profit (better than bank interest). Any T+2 daytraders who bought yesterday hoping for further gains today also needed to close out.
