The thing is this was squeaky clean but over 10 years (specifically the last 5) with enough mud thrown it becomes dirty. Investments in modern businesses (mining, biotec etc) are inherently high risky and take a long time to become profitable. I know for sure I wont risk this kind of investment again in Australia. 10 years is just too long to go through it again with the kind of sovereign risks developing. I'd prefer to risk it on high tech businesses that are portable where the value is in the intellectual property. They won't be big employers (so not so jobs) and any shit (regulations, taxes etc) from anyone and they can be whisked off OS and even relisted there if necessary.
