I can also remember probably three different sets of results in that period when they seemed to be finally turning it around only for the next set to be two steps back with management constantly blaming outside factors and downgrading forecasts. I also made the "no new capital" decision a little while ago but it once again becomes tempting to keep averaging down when the overall market is high and these guys are looking cheap plus they have the tail wind of US interest rates (another point I've been relying on for years now!) and this highly regarded CEO who seems to at least be more aware of investors total distrust of QBE which will take years to fully eradicate. There will be a "QBE discount" compared to other insurance companies for quite some time yet which is hard to argue with.
