Maybe they're exercising their options early because they want to sell in 12 months. If they wait a couple months to exercise their options, they'll then have to wait 15 months from now before they sell to avoid the 100% capital gains tax period.
In any case, exercising options is always a positive sign. Who knows what the price of this thing will be if the results next week are half decent...
