That is the conventional wisdom, Norah.
I have posted earlier my view that, in a near-nil interest rate environment, premiums will have to rise or the insurers will cannibalise their capital.
QBE last year raised premiums 9% - with zero inflation out there. Staring down customers is risky work. They did it, hence why I invested.
IAG raised premiums 5%. Not enough.
