Provided the economy doesnt fall off another GFC cliff, the low interest rate environment is actually a great protection as people will need to be invested outside of term deposits and bonds if they want anything remotely close to a decent return.
Super low rates are going to always be a gittery time as they reflect the fact we aren't living in a strong economic times. If you think the whole game is a pea and thimble trick atm, go cash. If not, FID is a pretty conservative play IMO.
