They're covering taxation obligations by selling their equivalent in shares (exercised options). Pretty basic offsetting.
However, I do agree that this casts some doubt on their confidence on the tenements - why sell the shares and the potential growth to cover taxation from exercising options? Unless they're all cash strapped.
